Dogs Prohibited from Festivals
ORDINANCE OF THE MONTH A new ordinance, that was enacted last year, prohibits animals from being in the area where a festival or where there is a large gathering. Exceptions are if the dog is a “Working” Dog: a Seeing Eye Dog, Drug Dog, or an animal that is part of a program. What this means is that no dogs are allowed up town during the Fall Festival. Also, bikes or skate boards will not be allowed, because of the heavy foot traffic.

Inoperable Vehicles
Chapter 8.36 of the Bushnell City Code deals with inoperable vechiles. It states that any vehicle that has been rendered inoperable may not set on public or private property with in view of the public for more than seven days. If after notice is given the vechile still remains, the police department is directed to issue the property owner or vehicle owner a Notice to Appear and/or remove the vehicle at the owners expense. Inoperable vehicle is one without current registration and insurance, missing or damaged parts or cannot be moved under its own power.
