History of the Bushnell Economic Development Corporation



The Bushnell Economic Development Corporation was incorporated as a Not for Profit Corporation on September 23, 1968. It was formed as an arm of the Bushnell Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of furthering the economic development of the City of Bushnell, Illinois, and its environs, and for promoting and assisting the growth and development of business concerns in the area. The primary objective of the corporation is benefit to the community by increased employment, payroll, business volume and an enhanced standard of living. The Board of Directors of the corporation consists of five individuals (all volunteers), one of whom is the President of the Chamber of Commerce, with the other four directors being elected by the membership of the Bushnell Chamber of Commerce. The board meets monthly on the first Tuesday of each month.
