GFL Environmental moving to automation with trash carts in Bushnell

GFL is providing one new 95-gallon trash cart to each household in Bushnell as part of a renewed contract agreement with the City effective September 1, 2025.  Each cart is being delivered to your home as part of the base fee for our collection services.  There is no rental fee associated with the new cart.
 
The wheeled container is easy to maneuver, has a lid, and allows our driver to stay in the truck and use an automated arm to pick up the cart and dump it.  This system improves driver safety and makes your neighborhood look uniform on collection day.
 
When setting out the cart at the curb for collection, position the carts’ wheels against the curb.  Place the cart at least 3 feet away from any vehicle, mailbox or stationary object.  Please have it at the curb by 6am on collection day or better yet the night before. 
 
If you are currently renting a trash cart from GFL for an additional $2.50 per month, we are discontinuing that fee September 1, 2025.  We’ll come retrieve your old cart in the second half of September.  If you have already paid for rental of the old cart for September, October, or November, GFL will be issuing you a refund. If you have autopay set up for your cart rental, we suggest turning that off at www.GFLENV.com. 
 
If you want to use two (2) trash carts for set out each week, you can keep the second cart.  The fee will be $2.50 per month paid quarterly in advance for using two trash carts.
